TIPS Cellular.everything

Purchased from Visible or not, iPhones are pretty standard and have all the cellular bands. They might or might not have the Verizon 5g millimeter wave radios but they should operate correctly otherwise. I just think people at Visible are not provisioning the sim cards correctly. The newer iPhones let you download the esim without ever waiting for them to mail a sim card. @Brianmac did you download an esim on the iPhone or just order a byod sim card?
ordered directly through Visible when I opened the account. They never had me download an esim for phone. Sim came with new phone.

Again, if you have seen any of my other posts, there is a black cloud that follows me pretty closely. And when you mix a wife + new iPhone + plus new great service and mix - the black cloud GROWS, lol....

Advise required ... Daughter's Iphone 8 has taken a dump and she's begging for a new phone. We have T-Mobile, that I'm happy with and thanks to my advanced age, I pay $35 / month taxes included. She found an Iphone 11Pro Used for $400. I see I can get a NEW Iphone 11 on Visible for $600 with a $200 gift card, so essentially $400 - same price - lower model, but new. Then also in my calculus is that often T-Mobile will offer new Samsung models for bogo if you add a line. So if I move her line to Visible, then in a year or two, I decide to move back to get the BOGO .. would help out. I'm very weary of the comments by @Brianmac though with his purchase of the phone there.

FYI - its the iPhone itself(which is what i thought. Moved to "real" verizon and same issues...

can't pry phone away from boss, so she is dealing with it.....
I just try to NOT make eye contact with her and all is well, lol

I think his experience was outside the norm. I don't know the quality of service for Verizon in your area but you can always order the SIM kit and try it out prior to buying a new iPhone or just get the iPhone and hope for the best. I think the trick to eSim is to not use the SIM card sent to you and then go online to download it yourself. Granted, speaking to a live person at Visible is impossible since chat is all you can do.

I don't have an iPhone but I travel a lot and Verizon/Visible has been good where I go. When I go to the Atlanta metro area, I have strong 5G service (I don't have a phone that does millimeter 5G) but it works great where VZW has rolled out their 5G service. If you are in a metro area in Florida, I would expect that Visible service will be comparable to T-Mobile and better in less populated areas.

My transition to Visible was painless with the SIM card except it took about an hour for my number to port in after activation.

OK - need to sign up - what link/code do I need to use? I think everyone is under @w1ve account?

welcome to Join the Party.

If you are interested in joining the party plan, click the link Join the Party in line above.

If you have enough people and want to start your own party, then just go to https://www.visible.com/, sign up and create your own.

TIP: Don't create your own party or you won't get the $25 rate until you get to 4 people. Our Hulls Party already has over 50 members so there's little risk of the cost ever going about $25/mo.

Join the Party link here.

@wardmundy

can you edit your nerdvittles article and fix the broken links.

to introduce Visible, Verizon’s very own MVNO https://www.visible.com/referral/3lP3PM link not working
we offer a signup link that https://www.visible.com/referral/3lP3PM link not working

your referral links in the first 2 paragraphs are the problem links. Perhaps you can change the actual links to the Join the party here.

also just for informational purposes, you must sign up, create account, and activate service before you can join a Party Plan.

Fixed. Thanks. The Visible folks actually changed the referral link after we published the article.

The correct link to sign up is now: https://www.visible.com/get/3lP3PM

Once signed up, you then can Join the Party Plan here: https://bit.ly/3uAf0bl

just an FYI on joining a party - the party has NOTHING to do with your account. Each account is a separate account regardless of "party". This is a little different than the other cellular "parties". So if you are a family of 4(2 adults and 2 kids) and you create your own party, you will still have 4 different accounts(with 4 different bills) - they are not ALL under ONE account.
So joining this party or any of the other that has a ton of people only ensures you have the 4 account threshold and pay $25. In the above scenario, you always need to keep 4 going, when you join this party or another big party, you really never have to worry... with individual accounts for every cell number, this can be confusing...
Service has been GREAT for me....

Best of luck,
Brian

Wow - I have to say, if this works as described, I'm going to be one happy customer and may even drop T-Mobile for me and the wife. The new links worked, and I just signed up my daughter with a new Iphone 12 for $600 with a $200 rebate after 3 months of service making it just $400 (GREAT PRICE). Then the service being just $25 / month ($5 for the first month - thanks Party) allowed me to also grab their insurance plan for $10 / month - bringing the total to $35 / month - same as the great rate I'm paying from T-Mobile, but with insurance. FYI - The insurance plan for the Iphone she's getting is just a $29 deductible for cracked screen (which is why I was shopping to begin with), and also covers any manufacturers issue and even covers Lost or stolen phone (I think $288 deductible for that). So for what is being advertised to me, this thing is WONDERFUL. Thanks Again.
