Excellent service deserves recognition.
I was having intermittent but reproducible dtmf recognition errors on my Rhino R8FXX-EC card with 4 fxo ports. Always happened within the first few seconds of answer where dtmf for my IVR just did not reliably work.
I called Rhino where Trevor spent a great deal of time analyzing the problem. He thought he fixed it once, explained it all to me, but alas, still broken. I called Trevor again and he dug into again with some of his colleagues. In short, they found the issue and fixed it.
As far as I can understand the explanation for the reproducible behavior, the hardware echo cancel on board was over correcting during training due the high impedance of my pstn lines. This washed out my dtmf tones until the on board echo training was happy, thereafter dtmf always worked. They adjusted the driver code for me to increase the driver rx gain and all is good.
Thank you!
