I configured the 7960s using the Endpoint Manager but I am unable to dial out.

Also, I have a Polycom IP301 that I added using EM as well and it is not even registering with asterisk.

I am running PiaF 1.7.5.5 and Endpoint Manager 2.3.2

All I did was install EM, create the templates for my phones, and then added my phones.

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance!

It can be due to a number of things:

Did you setup a t*f*t*p server (setup-t*f*t*p)?

Did you add the extensions to FREEPBX?

Do you know if your phones are requesting the configs from the /tftpboot folder (you probably need to factory reser the ciscos and sometimes manually point them to the t*f*t*p server).

Daniel

t*f*t*p has already been installed.

Extensions were created by default when I installed PiaF.

The phones are requesting the config and downloading it because they show the right extensions.

When I run sip show peers from the CLI I only see my softphone.

Thanks!

Does the telephone symbol by the extenson number in the phone show an x? Otherwise they should be working properly and the problem may be only in the trunks and/or dialplan rules.

Yes, it does show an X.

Under settings, status, status messages on the phones I see some errors.

1) Error parsing SIPDefault.cnf
2) Not found dialplan.xml

I'm looking for a sample dialplan now to create and put in the tftpboot folder.

Thanks!

Ok I added a diaplan.xml and I dont have that error anymore put the phones are still not registering with asterisk.

I still have the parsing error.

I don't think it is a firewall issue because my softphone is able to register and dial fine.

I had this working fine on trixbox but then I moved to PiaF. I thought I had saved the t*f*t*p folder from my trixbox but now I cant find it!

:banghead:

Seems like a strange comment. I would check your NAT setting in the Extension definition. An also check on the Localnet= in the sip configuration files. ..

The Incredible PBX creates various extensions by default, which is what I'm using.

I will make take a look at what you have suggested.

Also, I found the hard drive that had my old trixbox configuration so I now have a copy of my old, working, tftpboot folder. I will look through this and see if I can find any differences in the config files.

Finally got one of my 7960s working. The I set nat=1 in SIPDefault.cnf because I was under the impression those settings would overwrite the SIPMAC.cnf; wrong.

I set nat=1 in the SIPMAC.cnf and rebooted the phone and now it registers with asterisk.

Thanks!
