Of course you have not provided an unedited copy of status so I am guessing

I run 206x 32 bit purple with avantfax/google voice.

Been up since we released the incredible fax.

just sent and received a number of faxes from a number of sources with no problems at all.

No idea what your problem is however on the PIAF reference machine for The Incredible Fax 2.0 it is still working so I would start looking at your machine or perhaps GV is having problems yet again. RU sure it is a fax call and not a voice call?

Tom

Status To File and yes it is a fax and not a voice

Wonderful makes it easier to talk about your problems. Are all faxes being dropped now? Or just from that phone number?

The reason I ask is GV does have issues at times with phone numbers for no apparent reason then it will clear up in a few days and everything is working again.

Have you added/removed anything on your system recently? Any changes whatsoever? If not and now "suddenly" it wont receive faxes I would suspect a problem with GV. Just a guess mind you. I just got another couple of faxes in from the government about 10 mins ago all seemed well. Again on a gv trunk etc etc.

Also judging by status to file this is not a dedicated fax system as I see a rhino card in there and also HSF modem. You might want to bump up the ram. I recommend 4gb for running centos 6.2 especially with incredible fax and if you are using the OCR software.

Question: Where are the default directory for avant log

Question: Where are the default directory for avant log and what commands can i run in the terminal to show me more of whats going on with avant fax

You log into the user interface of avantfax. In the top right hand corner underneath the username you will see 2 tiny icons click on the right one (I think) and you will be in the admin menu. Select system logs from the drop down and you are off to the races.

Beyond that no suggestions as we cant duplicate your problem here. Sorry

In this case issuing a more widely permission command as:

chmod -R 777 /var/www/html/avantfax

Will be more appropriate IMO

intermentedly recieving faxes on ttyIAX1

ttyIAX0 status: please wait even after reboot
ttyIAX1 status: idle
ttyIAX2 status: idle
ttyIAX3 status: idle

again one and off i'm now receiving faxes on ttyIAX1

chmod -R 777 /var/www/html/avantfax

Will be more appropriate IMO

gvtricks

I tend to agree. We had added the earlier command to all new installs however a longer term test seems to indicate greater permissions seem necessary as you stated. I have modified the install-incredfax2 and will push this out later today.
