I have a built iPBX 2021 Debian setup to use anveoDirect for outbound 011(US to international calls). I have another iPBX with same setup. I have matched everything between them both, but I cannot get out an international call on the new iPBX. Everything on both iPBX and Anveo(same account) are the same....

when I look at the SIP traces from old server(international working) and new server(not working, all circuits are busy) I see:

Good server has in trace:
a=rtpmap:9 G722/8000
a=rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000

the new server does not have this. The error is:

SIP/2.0 488 Not Acceptable Here
Reason: Q.850; cause=88; text="INCOMPATIBLE_DESTINATION"

Codex on both servers are the same(same order too). and rebooted after any changes...

Driving me CRAZY... any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
brian

ok, it was codec's issue. On older server it had g722, opus, alaw and thats what I had on new.
On new, I switch to alaw, ulaw and calls are going out now...

Ps - The more I learn, the less I know - and that's the truth!

Not many providers actually support G.722. You figured it out.

But weird that old server has no issue with no codec change....
and old, its same debian 10 x64 iPBX2021 as new....

Yea
its same debian 10 x64 iPBX2021 as new....
Perhaps newer versions of Asterisk are properly sending the Codec order to Anveo and so Anveo didn't like it. Who knows.

Yes, almost always a carrier will accept Ulaw and Alaw. So probably go with that as a fallback always. Some international that care about bandwidth will also throw in G.729 ... but make sure you're able to accept it.
