I am having similar issues now after an update-scripts/source/fixes. I get an error of Module zaptel not found.

I tried...
cd /usr/src/zaptel
make install-udev
That didn't help.

Thank you guys. That worked for me too. Granted I still don't have a zap show channels command in asterisk. I can live without that.

I got it to work, but now after every reboot I have the same issue and the way to solve it is to run each time after the reboot:
service zaptel restart
which brings ONLINE the ZAPTEL.

Is there a way to avoid having to do this after each reboot?

I have no zap hardware.
