Hello,

I have 'PBX in a Flash 1.7.5.5 Purple Edition' running through VMware server.

The installation was a breeze. I could initiate [outbound] calls and receive [inbound] calls through my Nortel 1535 phone pretty much immediately after all the scripts ran. Very impressive!!

When I call somebody, the call is connected near instantly.. but when I try to call my Google Voice number from a PSTN line, there is a long ~20 second delay of silence before I reach the IVR -- or ~20 second delay before the phone starts dialing [if IVR is disabled].

Is this normal?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you using an ATA?

No.

The Nortel phone is plugged into my D-Link DIR-655 router. I forwarded the 5222 UDP port to the IP address assigned by PBXIAF.

When I am testing out the PBX system, I am calling from my home land line [PSTN] that is directly connected into the phone jack.

from a shell do:

tail -f /var/log/asterisk/full

and then make one of those calls. see if the delay correlates with what is showing up in the log. if so, it's something upstream of you.

unfortunately, from the above, we have no idea what the timestamp was when you initiated the call. you need to know (to within a second or so) what piaf's time was when you started the call.

Google Number speed-dialed in from PSTN phone @ 15:03:47

PBX Log Changes @ 15:04:03

Nortel Phone Starts Ringing @ 15:04:05

Let me know if that was the info you wanted.

Thanks for the help!
