Hello Fellows,
I have been in love with Incredible PIFA PBX for several years. I have been using my trusted Atom box from a Dell Thin Client machine from ebay, it has 2G of RAM. It keeps going and going.
It has an internal IP address of x.x.x.241.
I decided to upgrade to the latest Incredible PIFA ISO* with FreePBX. Complete rebuilt using the same hardware, I also added some Google Voice channels using Motif. Super cool, it has good voice quality for what I need and the price is right. That made me donate to the project.
Install PBX1 using DHCP and changed its IP address to x.x.x.241.
Now during the last 4 days I have been on and off trying to solve a problem. Yes, I Googled it a lot and searched this Forum too. Sure, show me I missed it, I am fine with that. I can use the help even if you show that I did not look hard enough ;-)
Here is my case:
I shut down and turned off the Atom machine, lets call it PBX1.
I built a virtual machine using ESXi with the same PIFA Free PBX ISO image and other combinations of OSes (32 or 64 bits) and Incredible PIFA on the top of it, the configuration works. Lets call this PBX2. Note: using DHCP for the internal IP address.
I configured Google Voice Motif in the PBX2, all good.
Then because I have phones configure for the IP address of PBX1, I just change the IP address from PBX2 to be the same as PBX1 x.x.x.241. All phones work. BUT, the Google Voice Motif shows the Red Disconnect.
I tried the reset device security as pointed on the this Forum to when Google Voice Motif can't authenticate.
In summary:
- Same PIFA FreePBX ISO build with latest updates at PBX1 and PBX2*
- PBX1 has IP Address x.x.x.241
- PBX2 works with another IP assigned by my DHCP server
- PBX2 Google Voice MOTIF breaks when I change the IP address to use the same IP address as PX1 :x.x.x.241
- PIFA breaks when change internal IP Address.
I turn off PBX2, and bring up PBX1 on. It works every time...
Why?
Can you point me to where to solve that?
What log could I post here for you to help?

Thank you!,
