IPKALL not passing DTMF tones correctly

I have been using an IPKALL number for over 3 years now, and, starting yesterday, I am not able to pass DTMF tones correctly on that DID.

The application that I give to this number, since it is free and I do not want to abuse it, is to check my voicemail remotely, so I need to authenticate to my system by sending the correct DTMF tones, but since yesterday DTMF tones are not working at all.

This morning I also performed some testing, and call quality on the IPKALL number I have has gone downhill, to the point where I can only hear 2 out of every 10 words a person is saying. I am assuming that this is the reason why DTMF tones are not being passed correctly, but I wanted to check with someone else in the forum to see if anyone is experiencing this issue.
 
IPKALL's call quality has taken a hit here (Chicago) today as well. I've had to revert away from the new GV trunk as a result.
 
I noticed the same problems on incoming calls through an IPKALL DID for the past 2 days.
 
The new GV/IPKALL hookup doesn't work at all this morning. I haven't had time (and probably won't today) to chase the issue down.
 
issues continue with call quality ..

All throughout this morning, call quality has been really bad, impossible to use at all for a lack of better terms. Let us hope that IPKALL catches the issue soon, I really liked their service.
 
Orgasmatron V ditch IPKALL?

hmmm...as IPKALL has been unusable the past couple days, I tried setting up a SipGate DID. Went through the whole process and re-ran ./configure-gv with the new info; however, the result is the same. I'm guessing that ./configure-gv didn't work the second time around and the IPKALL number is still what's being used. Can this script be rerun, or does something else need to be reset first?
 
Hi,

I think all you have to do is go into extensions_custom.conf and find the RINGBACK var and change it from your IPKall number to your SIPGate number. It is in the custom-gv context.

Thanks, I gave that a shot. It works - sort of. IPKALL is the problem for sure as the calls do sound clear now.

Problem is that when it places the call now it rings all the phones in the ring group (700) vs. just the extension that made the call. There must be some other piece involved in the behind-the-scenes transfer process that needs tweaking.
 
IPKALL seems to be working once again ...

As of yesterday IPKALL seems to be working properly once again. This is great as I use their gateway to dial to toll free numbers without the need for a registration or any cost associated to it.
