I am confused about Zap Trunks...
I have installed a R8Fxx card with 4 FXO ports (2 Mod's)
Drivers are loaded and /etc/asterisk/zapata-auto.conf shows:
===========================================
; Span 1: Rhino RCB8FXX/1 "Rhino RCB8FXX/1" (MASTER)
signalling=fxs_ks
; Note: this is a trunk. Create a ZAP trunk in AMP for Channel 1
context=from-zaptel
group=0
channel => 1
signalling=fxs_ks
; Note: this is a trunk. Create a ZAP trunk in AMP for Channel 2
context=from-zaptel
group=0
channel => 2
---- More but I did not paste it all ------
============================================
Now for the question. In FreePBX, does "g0" represent group 0? All 4 channels show group=0.
Do I need to create a new zap trunk for each channel?
I created a Zap/1 and got an incoming call to go thru. Wasn't sure about things, deleted it and then recreated it again. Now it don't work. What did I do?
Do I need a Zap/1, Zap/2, Zap/3 and Zap/4 (one for each port) ?
Thanks again ... You folks are great.
I'm looking forward to the day I can do more than ask questions.
