I followed this tutorial (http://www.sthomas.net/go/blog/view/38/Using-a-sound-card-as-a-Music-on-Hold-source-in-Asterisk) for using the line-in on my sound card as a MOH source, but am having problems getting it to work consistently. After rebooting my PIAF box, the MOH will work fine briefly, but then ultimately the audio always stops and will not start until I reboot again. Right before the audio cuts out (and won't return), I always see this message:
DEBUG[2690]: res_musiconhold.c:577 monmp3thread: Read 124 bytes of audio while expecting 640
The number of bytes read/expecting is usually different each time. Immediately after this message, asterisk stops the MOH:
-- Stopped music on hold on SIP/4606-0a1873a0
Sometimes this happens almost instantly after the MOH starts, sometimes it'll last for a few minutes, or last night it actually worked for over an hour before crapping out.
Could this be a hardware issue? If so, could upgrading/replacing the sound card possibly correct it?
Thanks.
